About the institute
Montessori teacher training with an international standard
International Montessori Teacher Training Institute prepares educators to guide children in authentic Montessori environments. The Chennai centre brings the programme to Medavakkam.
Who we are
An institute focused on the prepared adult
Founded in 2004 with its head office in Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka, IMTTI is accredited by the International Accreditation Organization (IAO), USA. The institute's programmes combine Montessori philosophy with the daily practice of presenting materials to children.
Dr. Maria Montessori's method asks the adult to observe first and intervene least. Our training is built the same way: trainees spend most of their week working with materials, recording observations and refining presentations until they are classroom ready.

Our approach
Practicals, philosophy sessions, album work and a 1000 Marks assessment framework covering theory, practice and viva.
The Chennai centre
Hosted at SSR Academy of Fine Arts, Medavakkam
The Medavakkam centre is led by Ranjith Parthiban and runs the 1 Year Montessori Diploma with a fully prepared training environment, so trainees learn where they practise.
